Chief Information Officer, US Foods

John Tonnison is the US Foods’ EVP, Chief Information & Digital Officer. Reporting to chairman and CEO Pietro Satriano, he oversees the food manufacturer and foodservice distributor’s technology vision and strategy, as well as all IT functions, including digital, cybersecurity, applications and infrastructure. He replaces CIO Keith Rohland, who departed the company in March. Tonnison most recently served as executive VP and CIO at Tech Data Corporation, where he was responsible for the company’s global innovation strategy, information digital capabilities and operations. He spent nearly two decades at the distributor of business and consumer technologies. Before Tech Data, he was VP and chief technology officer for Technology Solutions Network. US Foods has more than 70 distribution centers and partners with around 300,000 restaurants and foodservice operators, and Satriano cited Tonnison’s more than three decades of technology, operational efficiency and innovation experience in a statement announcing the hire.
